Semester 4 Week 2

This week I heavily focused on making the modifications to the highlight script for my thesis project. The solution I found was to create coroutines for the destroy highlight functions. Unfortunately the highlight is still delayed when you hover and don’t pick up as it was only intentioned for when you let go of something. The work around would be pretty difficult and require more work arounds as you are technically hovering the second you let go. I’m thinking it may work anyway for the time being? It could get confusing/break the intention of gameplay because it is currently possible to highlight everything in front of you by waving your hand around which opens up the visual component a lot. My designer and 3D artist are doing great as they redesigned cabinets, fridges, etc. to have moving and grabable components!

This past week I had the wonderful experience of a quick 17ish minute portfolio review from Chris Oat from Rockstar Games. His main suggestion was to reformat the website a little bit to be more streamlined and readable for someone doing a very fast portfolio review. Next week I have another interview with WB and/or Petricore? The email was a little unclear…
